Facilities & Infrastructure

The classrooms

The classrooms are large and airy and are equipped with the latest audio-visual equipment and LCD projectors. All classrooms have internet access over Wi-Fi. Students are permitted to bring and use their laptops in the classroom.

Hostel

The institution offers hostel facilities. There are separate hostels facilities for boys and girls. The hostel rooms are well furnished & have attached bathrooms.

Library

The vast library houses a diverse collection of books in addition to regular text books and reference books. There are over 1,200 books and subscriptions published by leading national and international publishing houses.

Student Common Room

The college has a spacious and comfortable common room. It serves as an open space for relaxation, socialization and entertainment of students. It also has the provision of indoor game.

Canteen

The college canteen serves hygienic and good quality food with a wide variety of availability of snacks at a reasonable price and also has a seating capacity of 30 students at one point of time.

Wi-Fi

The campus is Wi-Fi enabled & all students on campus have Wi-Fi access to the institutional secure computer network and the internet.

Computer Laboratory

The institution has computer labs that are well equipped. All the computers are networked, controlled by central servers and administered professionally.

The college hostel has the facility of Gymnasium for students to ensure a healthy balanced life style.

HBH Campus is equipped with Lift facility for their students. High quality with regular maintenance for convenience of the students and staff are available.

Extra-Curricular Activities

There are sports club for students such as Cricket, Kabaddi, Volley Ball, Basket Ball, Picnic and all athletics. We conduct intra-collegiate & inter- collegiate sports meets for both indoor & outdoor sports every year. There is also provision of debating, singing, dancing, acting etc.

Students Development Cell

A dedicated department that monitors every student’s progress very closely in synergy with all the departments to track the performance of a student in every aspect including academics, extra curriculum, community, involvement, discipline, career guidance, personality development, general knowledge, physical & emotional problems etc. The motto of this cell is to ensure holistic development of the students.

Internal Complaints Committee (ICC)

The college stands for women empowerment and zero tolerance for sexual harassment. It has a duly constituted Internal Complaints Committee against any sexual harassment of women at the workplace. Several hoardings and posters have been put up in various visible locations of the college premises. Activities are also organized throughout the session including interactive sessions with noted advocates, legal advisors to create awareness on matters pertaining to sexual harassment.

Counseling Cell

The College has a fully functioning Counselling Cell to enable students to discuss their personal and professional concerns. Equal emphasis is placed on emotional and intellectual development of students.

Students’ Council

The students’ council is a body in the college offering them an opportunity to hone up their leadership qualities by actively involving themselves in college activities and welfare services. This enhances their educational experience by providing them a platform to participate in a variety of academic, social, cultural as well as college governance related activities. Each student is a member of the students’ council.

Medical Facilities

The college has a separate medical room equipped with surgical bed, BP apparatus, Weighing Machine and other basic necessary medical facilities.

College Rules and Code of Conduct

College Timings: Scheduled class time from 9.00 am to 4 pm (one hour lunch break). In case of emergency, class time may be changed.

Administrative Office of the college functions from Saturday to Thursday ( six days in a week)

  • • Attendance: Those students who fail to attend a minimum of 85% of lectures/ tutorials/ practical classes will be detained and not permitted to appear in the University Examination. This will be strictly followed. Parents/Guardians are advised to periodically meet teachers of their wards to know the progress of their ward in studies and punctuality in attending classes. Parent-Teacher Interaction Meetings are held regularly to enable parents to review the progress of their wards.
  • • Identity Card: The Students are required to carry their Identity cards issued by college authorities. No student will be permitted to enter the premises without it.
  • • It is the duty of every student to check the Notice Board and college website every day.
  • • All formalities and forms regarding Examination, Results, Enrolment, Scholarships, Stipend etc. should be submitted as per the scheduled date announced by the college office.
  • • Residential Address: In case of change of address, the same must be informed in writing with the signature of parents/guardians to the college office.
  • • Students must not use Mobile phones in college library/ classrooms and corridors. Failure to do so can lead to confiscation of the phone and a fine of BDT 100/-.

Library Rules

  • • Library reading room will be open from 9.00 A.M. to 4.00 P.M. Timings for vacations will be notified separately.
  • • Membership: All students are enrolled as members of the library. The students should use a separate library membership card. A student shall cease to be a member when her name is no longer on the college rolls.

Breach of discipline

All students are expected to observe good code of conduct. Breach of discipline entails:

  • ☞ Irregularity in attendance and negligence towards work assigned.
  • ☞ Non maintenance of proper decorum or causing disturbance in college premises including the classroom, office, library, sports etc.
  • ☞ Misbehavior/misconduct towards any teacher or employee of the College or University or another institution.
  • ☞ Disfiguring or damaging college property or that of the University or another institution.
  • ☞ Any misconduct inside or outside the College campus.
  • ☞ Misrepresentation of facts or spreading rumors.
  • ☞ Eve teasing or ragging of any form.
  • ☞ Inching others to indulge in any of the aforesaid acts.
  • ☞ Smoking is strictly prohibited and the college is a strictly smoke free zone.
  • ☞ The principal reserves the right to take appropriate action in case of breach of discipline.
